The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
This afternoon a further contestant signed up for Miss Gibraltar 2014. The Miss Gibraltar Office, along with all of this year's contestant's and last year's winner will man a Miss Gibraltar 2014 Recruitment stand in Casemates Square this afternoon, in an attempt to entice girls to enter.
Following much deliberation, the jury for the Mark Montovio trial this afternoon came to a majority verdict of not guilty against the six charges of indecent assault.
Yesterday afternoon three RGP vessels were caught in a chase with two RHIBs making their way into the bay, heading North. One of the RGP vessels applied sirens and beacons and maintained an interception course and saw that the two RHIBs were navigating together side by side at a fast speed. At this stage the 10-meter RHIB changed course and began went on a collision course to the RGP vessel, which had to take evasive action in order to avoid the collision.
Much to the delight of many of Gibraltar’s music lovers, the headlining act for this year’s Gibraltar Music Festival will be Irish pop rock band ‘The Script’. The festival is also set to see former X Factor winner James Arthur perform at the Victoria Stadium on September 6th.
