APR 16 Fraud Charges Update - Warrender

Fraud Charges GibraltarFurther to the arrest and charge of a 45 year-old woman on suspicion of Fraud, officers of the Serious Crime Unit investigation, have late on Tuesday 16th April 2013, arrested 48 year-old Paul Andrew Warrender, a British National and self employed investment manager, on suspicion of Fraud.

Together with the 45 year-old woman, Warrender is alleged to have falsely represented that they were entitled to rent out a property. It is alleged that rent payments totalling £4,100 have been obtained fraudulently.

Fabian PicardoThe Chief Minister has left for London late last night to attend the funeral of Baroness Thatcher this morning.

This evening he will address members of the prestigious "Fabian Society" on "Gibraltar in Europe". Members of the local press have been invited along on the trip, so expect some coverage in the news.
