Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce has expressed concern over the recently implemented Employment (Bullying at Work) Act 2013. They claim that although it addresses an objective shared by all members, it is drafted in such a way as to create unwanted and unnecessary hurdles for business.
The Government welcomes the Resolution in support of Gibraltar which has just been tabled in the House of Representatives of the United States of America. This has come about following a sustained lobbying campaign of senior political figures in Washington.
