Apr 15 - Firearms Arrest

rgpA local 31 year old man has been arrested following a report of a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm. The incident took place shortly before midnight on Friday the 12th April in Moorish Castle Estate. As a result of the investigation into the incident a search warrant was executed at a local residence where both a BB gun and an air rifle with ammunition were seized. During the search a 24-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of importing a prohibited import.

Apr 15 - Miss Gibraltar Website Revamped and Re-launched

miss gibA newly revamped and updated Miss Gibraltar website has been launched by the Ministry for Culture today. The recently remodelled Miss Gibraltar Logo was unveiled at last week’s Miss Gibraltar Reception held at the Mayor’s Parlour. The new website features photographs from the Miss Gibraltar 2012 Show, and a profile page for each of this year’s contestants. Additionally, the website includes a past winners page and a special “did you know” page with anecdotes on the history of the pageant.
