The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia has said that although Gibraltar prefers a treaty to govern our relationship with the European Union, there are fundamental red lines which the Government is not prepared to cross in order to achieve it. Dr Garcia was speaking in Brighton today at the annual party conference of the U.K. Liberal Democrats.
A newly revamped and updated Miss Gibraltar website has been launched by the Ministry for Culture today. The recently remodelled Miss Gibraltar Logo was unveiled at last week’s Miss Gibraltar Reception held at the Mayor’s Parlour. The new website features photographs from the Miss Gibraltar 2012 Show, and a profile page for each of this year’s contestants. Additionally, the website includes a past winners page and a special “did you know” page with anecdotes on the history of the pageant.
On Friday night two local men were arrested following a violent incident at a licensed premises in Ocean Village. The incident saw one individual suffer injuries which required hospital treatment. Damage was also caused to the premises furniture and fittings.

Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department are investigating an allegation of sexual assault, which is alleged to have involved a locally resident young female in the area of the Skate Park at Landport, on Friday night.
