Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.

Sir Joe Bossano who last week wrote to Savings Bank investors in brazen party-political terms is now compounding that by failing to recognise and underplay this abuse of his Ministerial role.
This morning, the Minister responsible for Housing and the University of Gibraltar, Pat Orfila, accompanied by Chief Secretary Glendon Martinez, inaugurated the new counters at the Housing Department. These soundproof counters will enable tenants to discuss matters in the strictest confidence and provide reassurance that all issues reported will remain between the housing officers and themselves. Additionally, tenants can now conveniently pay their monthly rents at these counters.
