The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
Local Equality Rights Group, the GGR recently launched their website at www.equalitygib.org, under the theme ‘Join the Conversation’. The group has also revealed their Facebook group ‘Equality Rights Group’ and twitter page @equalitygib.
Group Treasurer, Andrew Rodriguez noted that the demand for information on the group’s work is slowly increasing as excitement builds up towards the Civil Partnership Legislation release.
The Neighbourhood Policing Unit of the Royal Gibraltar Police will be holding its third online Facebook Clinic on Tuesday the 12th February 2013. The clinic will commence at 6.30pm and will run for an hour.
On this occasion issues in the neighbourhood policing area comprising the Town District and Mid Harbours Estate will be discussed. The aim is for the organisation to inform the residents on the neighbourhood policing response in their area and also to be informed on community concerns.
The Ministry of Culture has today announced that the closing date for participating in the exhibition “Mediterranea16”, promoted via the Little Constellation organisation has been extended to Sunday 17th February 2013.
The exhibition is open to visual artists, filmmakers, writers, performers, musicians, designers and cultural researchers under the age of 35 years old (i.e., born before December 31st 1977). Artists have to present one specific proposal related to their concept. Participation is free of charge.
Stephanie BRABIN, dob 8/5/73 of Raven House, Road to the Lines has today pleaded guilty in the Magistrates Court to 1 count of possession of a controlled drug: 65 grammes of Cannabis resin. She received a £600 fine. A guilty plea to possession of 25 grammes of herbal Cannabis received no separate penalty.
