European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Authors Clive, Geraldine and Stewart Finlayson have written a new book centred around the 19th Century. The authors’ book lavishly illustrated by their own phtoographs, uses texts written by 19th Century British naturalists and retraces their footsteps through scientific discovery and exploration, over a century later.
Commenting on the latest round of bad behaviour on the part of the Spanish Authorities, with the recent 21 hour incursion by Spanish Oceanographic Vessel ‘Ramon Margalef’ in BGTW, UKIP MEP for Gibraltar William Dartmouth insisted that the Spanish Government is displaying behaviour ‘more expected of a Latin America Banana Republic than of a mature European national and NATO ally.
Commenting on the GFA’s first official UEFA match this week, the Opposition congratulated the team for their ‘splendid sporting performance’. The GSD notes that the team was almost entirely comprised of amateur players who proved ‘they have what it takes to play against reputable professions and hold them to a tight game which resulted in a goalless draw’.
