Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police Traffic Unit continue to carry out targeted awareness and enforcement operations as part of the banner operation: Operation Roadwatch.
The table below lists the more significant offences dealt with during the month of October:
Following GBC’s interview with Picardo, during which he urged Opposition Leader Daniel Feetham to consider resigning, Mr. Feetham has insisted that his statement is ‘just another desperate example of his propensity to place “grandstanding, showmanship and spin” above substance and careful thought.’
The Minister for Youth, the Hon Steven Linares recently hosted a reception at Grand Battery to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Gibraltar Youth Service.
During his address, the Minister thanked all those present for their involvement in the youth service during so many years, congratulating all for their hard work and dedication during their time.
