There were strong, uncompromising words from Judge Sir Geoffrey Grigson earlier this afternoon as he sentenced the three Marrache brothers to lengthy prison terms after having been found guilty of a multi-million pound fraud.
According to the RGP, the past week has seen a few residential burglaries across Gibraltar, the majority of which are assessed to have been perpetrated by opportunists.
In most cases, access has been gained via open doors or windows. Despite this, the RGP stresses that incidents such as these are extremely rare in Gibraltar.
The Fine Arts Association is organising an exhibition with a difference. Under the title “The Fine Arts Summer Show” the exhibition will feature works by a number of accomplished artists from Gibraltar and abroad and opens to the public on the 7th July at The Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates. The exhibition aims to make art more accessible to the general public and all works will be available on a “pay as you go” basis allowing buyers to walk away with their artworks once the purchase has been completed if they so desire. For this purpose artist are encouraged to submit artworks that are “affordably” priced and not exceeding £500.
