European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
The ESG has expressed surprise at the Nature Group’s announcement on gaining permission to ‘resume treatment at its Sullage Plant site at the Western Arm’. Sitting on the DPC, the group recalls a recent decision made by the Commission, that the company would only be able to move on their application on the strictest assurance that it would be for storage purposes only.
The GSD says that Mr Picardo “seeks to hide behind populism, smokescreens and distortions in order to avoid the central criticisms being levelled against him.”
As part of the Gibraltar World Music Festival, acclaimed international dancer Nathan Conroy will return to the Rock to showcase a series of performances to celebrate Chindia, this year’s festival theme. June 12th will pay host to a selection of street performances along Chatham Counterguard with accompanying live music, dance, balance acts, circus acts, fire eaters and international artists.
