Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
On Wednesday, fourteen officers from the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service received the 10-year British Fire Service Association (BFSA) Long Service and Efficiency Medal, and one officer Her Majesty’s Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, having served the Crown for over 18 years.
The GFSB says it welcomes the announcement that an update on the current state of Gibraltar’s Brexit negotiations will be given to parliament on Monday 16th May.
On Monday 16th May a total Lunar Eclipse can be witnessed from Gibraltar, although it will be too low in the horizon during its mid stage, when the Moon starts passing the Earth's shadow, to actually observe the event in its entirety.
The Ministry of Equality delivered a presentation on equality matters with a focus on disability, gender and race equality to students undertaking the second year of the BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at the University of Gibraltar.
