The GSD Opposition says it notes the “very serious but valid” criticisms which have been levelled by the Chamber of Commerce and the GFSB at the recently implemented Bullying at Work legislation. Both business organisations express concern that the law threatens to make Gibraltar “less competitive” and it is for very similar reasons, says the Opposition, that it was unable to support the law when introduced by the Government in Parliament.
A major art exhibition is being planned by the Ministry of Culture in conjunction with Gibraltar Cultural Services. This exhibition will celebrate the artistic life of Gibraltarian artist Mario Finlayson BEM, now considered the doyen of Gibraltar’s fine arts, having dedicated his whole life to the cause.Among the exhibits will be several heritage artworks by the artist which are currently in the Government of Gibraltar’s art collection, as well as other artworks and memorabilia kindly loaned for this occasion from private collections.
The Government has been made aware of reports in the media which indicate that burglars are trying to make use of scaffolding around blocks in order to gain access to flats while the hugely successful and welcome estate refurbishment programme is in progress.
