Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
During the course of the afternoon of 9th September, Drug Squad Detectives, supported by Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and HM Customs Flexible Anti-Smuggling Team (FAST), conducted an intelligence-led operation targeting the supply of controlled drugs in the Europort Area.
A meeting of the No Negotiated Outcome (NNO) Board chaired jointly by the Minister for the European Neighbourhood Wendy Morton and the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia took place in Gibraltar this afternoon. The role of the Board is to plan for the eventuality of no agreement on the future relationship of Gibraltar with the European Union.
The Government of Gibraltar says it is “pleased” to note the references by the representative of the Kingdom of Spain at the United Nations decolonisation seminar organised in Dominica this year by the UN’s Decolonisation Committee of 24.
