Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
EY (Ernst & Young) is launching a new initiative this year as part of their support for the Gibraltar International Literary Festival, which starts tomorrow. The initiative will see all pre-school children receive a book written by author, and Gibraltar resident, Anna Bogie.
The Opposition says it has been approached by interested parties concerned that, notwithstanding the Government’s recent announcement that Part VII transfers could now take place between UK and Gibraltar insurers, the position is “still less than certain.”
Sigurd Haveland, who was unable to attend last week’s GHA awards, was today presented with the award for the Support Services Employee of the Year (Frontline) by Minister for Health Dr John Cortes.
