Officers of HM Customs arrested Spanish national Juan Manuel SANCHEZ Ordonez at the land frontier as he imported 18 grams of cannabis resin and a small quantity of herbal cannabis. The drugs were found on his person.
The 30 year old resident of La Linea was charged last night and released on bail to surrender this morning. He failed to appear and a court warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Two 5-a-side matches were played yesterday evening featuring a team from No. 6 Convent Place against teams of Special Athletes. No. 6 narrowly won the first match 6-5 and the second match was a 2-2 draw. A spokesperson said: “Both were played in a great spirit with lots of atmosphere being provided by the sizeable crowd.”
