The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
On Wednesday the 20th of May, twelve students from Bayside School together with their teachers Mr Nigel Ramos and Mrs Paulette Masetti were treated to a visit to New Mole House Police Station by School Liaison Officers PC 99 Debono and PC 199 Rodriguez.
The Gibraltar Port Authority provided assistance to a yacht in distress on the afternoon of the 1st June. Port Launch SAMARANG II was deployed to render assistance following on from a call from Ocean Village Marina which was in direct contact with the yacht. The sole crew member of the yacht had sustained injuries which were compromising his ability to bring the yacht into berth safely.
The Chair of the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament, Cecilia Wikstrom MEP arrived in Gibraltar today on a fact-finding visit. She is also a member of the LIBE Committee which covers Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (JHA).
