Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Government has welcomed the fact that the Spanish authorities have admitted to the European Commission that they have caused the sewage pollution which affects Western Beach.
The Gibraltar Youth Service has started a new pilot project that aims to reach out to all young people from a cross section of our community. This is in line with the Government policy of listening to young people and giving them a voice on all issues that concern our society. The scheme has been opened to adult members from the Youth Advisory Council and representatives from other youth groups including various disadvantaged groups and the Unite the Union Youth Section that had previously had no representation in any youth forums.
