GFSB Responds to Budget
The Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses (GFSB) has reviewed the 2024 Budget Address delivered by Chief Minister Fabian Picardo “with a mix of recognition and some concerns.” The federation says that, while some budgetary increases align with inflation, the overall impact is of increased costs on small businesses.
ESG Reacts To Pollution Tax Debate
The Environmental Safety Group (ESG) says it shares the community's concerns regarding the “sudden and totally unexpected” pollution tax on cars over ten years old (regardless of emissions and type) announced by the Chief Minister yesterday. The ESG says that, even though the measure was reversed, the situation “understandably remains uncertain.”
