Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Government has announced the appointments of the next Director of Education, as well as the new head teachers of Bayside, Governor’s Meadow and St Martin schools. The announcements were made this morning by the Chief Secretary Darren Grech during a press conference at No 6 Convent Place.
A man has been arrested following an incident in the centre of town. Just after 12 noon the RGP Control Room received a report of a man brandishing a knife at a business in Irish Town.
Shortly after, police received a second report of the same man brandishing a knife just outside the Hindu Temple on Engineer’s Lane.
