The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
The Government has welcomed the “very clear position” on the EU negotiating mandate set out by the Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, at his first meeting with the new Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares. The Government says it has proceeded to cancel all large events between now and September planned for Government premises. The only events that will for the moment proceed with will be smaller, seated, ticketed events, and only with patrons being double vaccinated and having had a negative COVID test within the previous 24 hours.
