Nov 21 - RGP Heads Drug Chase at Sea

rgpThe Royal Gibraltar Police’s Marine Section thwarted a drug smuggling operation at sea yesterday evening.

At about 9.20pm officers at the time patrolling the Western Anchorage noticed a fast moving vessel heading north, close to the anchored vessels in the area. The vessel which was not showing navigational lights was seen to have four occupants and to be loaded with bales.

dartmouthCommenting on the latest round of bad behaviour on the part of the Spanish Authorities, with the recent 21 hour incursion by Spanish Oceanographic Vessel ‘Ramon Margalef’ in BGTW, UKIP MEP for Gibraltar William Dartmouth insisted that the Spanish Government is displaying behaviour ‘more expected of a Latin America Banana Republic than of a mature European national and NATO ally.
