European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
An RAF Hawk Flypast will be conducted tomorrow evening, to commemorate the Battle of Britain. Two Hawks will carry out a sortie, with the flay past taking place over RAF Gibraltar, in honour of those who lost their lives in the Battle of Britain campaign.
The Chief Minister indulged in “undignified gloating” following the announcement yesterday that the Chief Justice had dismissed claims against the Government made by the former GSD minister Louis Montiel. This is according to a letter from Mr Montiel, which was sent to the press earlier this morning. The case in question concerned his re-instatement as an employee of the Gibraltar Development Corporation.
With the UK Government’s Point of Consumption tax coming into play early next month, the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association will present their legal challenge against the new law in the coming week.
