Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
World Trade Center (WTC) Gibraltar has been announced as one of the new representatives elected to the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Board of Directors, following a closely fought election across six continents, amongst the networks 320 highly connected global members.
As in previous years, the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority (“GRA”), as the Information Commissioner, has taken part in the annual Global Privacy Enforcement Network Sweep (the “GPEN Sweep”). GPEN was established in 2010 upon recommendation by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Its aim is to foster cross-border co-operation among privacy regulators in an increasingly global market, with members seeking to work together to strengthen personal privacy protections in this global context.
As part of the GHA’s initiatives to celebrate World Mental Health Day which is held on the 10th October, the GHA’s Mental Health Services are leading an awareness day, which is scheduled to take place at Midtown Park tomorrow Friday 8th October.
