Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Gibraltar’s most awaited evening of the year is once again almost upon us, and is certain to be bigger and better than previously. This Saturday’s Calentita will see the addition of ‘The Calentita Kitchen Live’, which will see renown chefs in Gibraltar perform live cooking demonstrations. The event has seen an increase to 33 food-serving tents, and a huge extension to the Long Table communal facility in Market Place.
RGP officers PC 74 Donovan Galia and PC 165 Keiron Reyes were today commended by the Commissioner of Police for bravery and determination under hazardous circumstances over their actions during a fire at Ocean Village in the early hours of the 23rd April 2014.

Last week Mr Tim Gowing, son of the late Commissioner of Police Dudley S. Gowing, paid a courtesy call on the Royal Gibraltar Police. Mr Gowing was visiting Gibraltar together with members of The Friends of Gibraltar Group and took the opportunity to meet the senior command of the Royal Gibraltar Police at New Mole House.
