The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
St Bernard’s First and St Bernard’s Middle Schools opened their doors to children for the very first time this morning. Both pupils and parents got a surprise when they were personally welcomed to their new schools by the Chief Minister and the Minister for Education.
Under the slogan ‘Drink Responsibly’, the Government is embarking on an awareness campaign in the lead up to National Day aimed at encouraging individuals to adopt a responsible approach towards alcoholic beverages. The Government says it recognises that, as has always been the case, the vast majority of people will participate in the events in a “mindful and civic manner”.
