European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Gibraltar took the opportunity to raise the issue of the continued harassment by Spain at the 44th Conference of the British Isles and Mediterranean Region (BIMR) of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. The conference is currently being held in Cardiff.
The Government of Gibraltar has today warned against increasing threats made against Civil Servants, by members of the public. The warning comes following an incident at the Housing Department during which a member of staff was told by an individual that he would ‘burn the place down’.
