European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Reacting to the news that Bishop Heskett has been appointed Bishop of Hallam and will be leaving Gibraltar in the summer, the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, said: "I have been touched by the news that Gibraltar's beloved Bishop Heskett will be leaving us shortly.
The Government has said that the Leader of the Opposition Daniel Feetham, in choosing to have a debate on the sums of money that are being spent on Government projects, has “failed to realize” that the logical conclusion of his criticism of this public spending is that he would not have pursued the projects or continued with them if the GSD came into office.

Bishop Rawsthorne resigned after he reached the age limit.
A six lane queue has started forming at the frontier with cars estimated to be taking 1 hour 15 minutes to cross. According to the RGP, just over 30 cars have been allowed to cross in the last half hour as Spanish authorities have intensified outgoing checks in what they claim is a necessary measure to combat tobacco smuggling.
