Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Ministry of Transport has announced alterations to the existing parking arrangements within Grand Parade Car Park. The north-eastern section of Grand Parade Car Park will be allocated to RPS Zone 2 permit holders only, with line painting designating ‘ZONE 2’ on the ground and signs to be erected to effectively differentiate between the parking arrangements within the car park. These works will be implemented shortly.
The Government says it is “disappointed” by Together Gibraltar’s recent statement on LFTs which “implies” that TG Leader, Marlene Hassan Nahon’s “assumptions make for better public health advice than the advice of the Director of Public Health.”
The defendants charged with conspiracy to defraud Bland Limited have said that the Attorney General’s implication that the case against them could have resulted in a conviction “flies in the face of the presumption of innocence and thereby constitutes a breach of human rights.
