Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Minister Vijay Daryanani has announced the relaunch of the Gibunco Gibraltar International Literary Festival. This will be the 8th edition after a two year break due to the Covid pandemic and will take place from 25th to 27th November 2022.
As from 26th of October, Elderly Residential Services visits will increase from 1 visitor at any given time to 2 visitors per visit. Visiting hours will be from 1pm to 6pm.
The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo has today written to the representatives of the objectors to the Downtown BID Scheme to acknowledge the group’s concerns and to set in motion meaningful engagement amongst all stakeholders in the matter moving forward.
The Cabinet has today agreed to issue a moratorium on all BID levies, meaning that the Government will not enforce the payment of levies and that anyone who has already paid will receive a refund, pending a decision on how to proceed.
