European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
Earlier this month The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Gibraltar hosted a training event for adult volunteers. The twenty adult volunteers from the Air Training Corps, Open Award Centre and the Scouts Association attended an Award Leader Training course which took place at Award House over the weekend of 3rd and 4th March.
Team Gibraltar has continued to build ahead of this week’s XXI Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia. This weekend saw numbers bolstered by the Swim Team who arrived on Saturday, they joined the Cyclists, Tri-athletes, Athletes, Squash player and Gymnast who’ve been in Australia for almost a week. All have been hard at training at the various facilities and venues available and Gibraltar’s numbers are completed on Tuesday with the final instalment of athletes with the shooters touching down.
To coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force, the Government will move a Motion to confer the Freedom of the City on RAF Gibraltar at the May session of Parliament.
