Stuart Rivers is Chief Executive Officer at Sailors’ Society, an international Christian charity working in ports across the world. Stuart joined the Society in April 2013 bringing his previous experience as Executive Director of Enterprise at the Bible Society where he took a strategic role in developing a group of commercial businesses. Prior to this, Stuart worked for some years in The Salvation Army as a Church Leader and Community Service Director, managing business affairs and community outreach programmes. Earlier in his career, Stuart worked with Ericsson Enterprise UK, starting in 1989 and finishing in 2002 when he was Global Commercial Director.
Unite the union will host a conference on the topic of Brexit next month.
The University of Gibraltar will host a prestigious 120,000 Euro research grant from the Gerda Henkel Foundation. The grant will support the research of Dr Kevin Lane, an accomplished Gibraltarian archaeologist and academic who is currently undertaking field research in Argentina and Peru. This latest award will fund his new project ‘An Archaeology of Mobility’, which aims to track human and animal mobility in the Andes. The funds will include two additional post-doctoral awards.
The Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, has announced that the GSLA Swimming Pool complex will open seven days a week as from Tuesday 3rd April.
