The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
At an Investiture Ceremony in The Convent yesterday, His Excellency the Governor Lieutenant General Edward Davis formally presented Corporal Adam Carter Royal Marines with the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS). The award recognises service during or in support of operations and was awarded to Cpl Carter in recognition of his outstanding performance in the Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron (RNGS).
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Eddie Yome and Detective Chief Inspector Edgar Lopez attended the 86th INTERPOL General Assembly held in Beijing, China from the 26 – 29th September.
For a number of years local football and futsal club, FC Hound Dogs, have held an annual fundraising drive the proceeds of which are traditionally split with a local charity. This year monies were raised through the hard work of club members, who sold raffle tickets at Eroski and Morrisons over a two-day period, and which culminated with a football marathon on the 23rd July.
The RGP would like to clarify the decision taken this morning to restrict access to the Public Gallery of the House of Parliament to a number of Master Services Limited employees.
