Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The FSC yesterday published a guide aimed at helping consumers understand the different aspects of payment services, which are covered under the Payment Services Directive. This Directive was transposed into local legislation via the Financial Services (EEA) (Payment Services) Regulations 2010.
The guide provides information for consumers on the payment services industry. It advises consumers about important matters to consider and areas to look out for when carrying out transactions with a payment services institution.
After many years, the Gibraltar Health Authority will once again be offering training opportunities for all its nurses, which will allow Nursing Assistants to be able to attain the grade of Enrolled Nurse and Registered Nurse locally.
Training to Enrolled Nurse was done away with some years ago. With nurse registration in UK becoming degree-only, it left those, usually young, nurses who did not have A-levels unable to progress in their careers or in their nurse training.
Nestle customers are being advised about a recall of the company’s Kit Kat Chunky bars and Giant Easter Eggs due to several individuals in the UK reporting small pieces of plastic found in the products.
For precautionary measures the Company has recalled all of the 48g Kit Kat Chunky bars in Peanut butting, hazelnut, choc fudge and caramel with best before dates ranging between September 2013 to February 2014.
