Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
As part of an on-going programme of works aimed at improvements to the Upper Rock and restoring Gibraltar’s Heritage, the Ministry for Heritage, the Department for the Environment and the Gibraltar National Museum have completed restoration works at the ‘Gibraltar: A City Under Siege Exhibition’, located at Willis’ Road on the Upper Rock.
The ESG says it welcomes Minister Cortes' recent interview with the Gibraltar Chronicle with his assessment on the present situation regarding “climate change and our preparedness to deliver on our responsibilities locally.”
The Government says following this morning’s meeting, it has been agreed to lift the restrictions in place at all our Marinas with immediate effect. Additionally, the Government has announced that preparations are being made to re open the Europa Pool from this Friday 26th August. The Europa Pool will remain open until the end of the bathing season on Monday 12th September.
