Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
The Government has said that it is “quite incredible” that the GSD’s Roy Clinton should have chosen to raise concern about the cost of travel for a Parliamentary conference in Belfast when his own seat is “nearly three times as expensive” as that booked by a Government Minister for the same event.
Service users at Dr Giraldi Home and St Bernadette’s Resource Centre joined in the National Day celebrations. The management and staff of both St. Bernadette’s Resource Centre and Doctor Giraldi Home created a special day for service users to celebrate this year’s National Day. In keeping true to the community spirit, this important event was celebrated albeit current COVID- 19 measures were adhered to whilst maintaining the essence of the occasion.
The GSD has said that the decision on whether non-vulnerable 12–15-year-olds should have the COVID vaccine is “ultimately a choice for parents and children in the context of all the facts.”
