A former businessman who served the Government of Gibraltar for nearly 30 years has just retired from his role as the UK representative for the Government of Gibraltar and Director of Gibraltar House in London.

The Secular Humanist Society of Gibraltar (S.H.S.G.) says it is concerned at the “continuing misinformation” provided by schools regarding Religious Education. The group says that both Bayside and Westside wrongly list R.E. as a compulsory subject, and especially Westside, who specifically target years 12 & 13, claiming all students are 'Required' to attend an admittedly 'Christian' curriculum.
The first weekend of August will see two huge music events on the Rock which will appeal to people of all ages.
Friday the 5th August sees the return of GibFloyd for a mega three-hour “Chronology” event at the MUGA Sports Complex. The following day, Saturday 6th August, will see top international DJs entertain the crowds at the same venue in what organisers are calling the “biggest ever” Gibraltar Electronic Music Festival.
