    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Jun 20 - OHL To Complete Runway Tunnel Works By November 2018

The Government has announced that it has successfully negotiated a settlement with Obrascon Huarte Lain SA (OHL) to complete the runway tunnel. Number Six says that only will this settlement avoid further delays by requiring the contractor to complete the tunnel by 30th November 2018, it will do so at a price close to the original 2008 budget. The Government adds that the completion contract “explicitly specifies that any delay to the contracted completion date would immediately incur financial penalties to be paid to Government by OHL.”
