The Ministry of Business and Employment, in response to the request of the Chamber of Commerce, has introduced a ‘hot-line’ to report illegal labour at the Department of Employment.
The Fostering and adoption awareness week, which was organised by the Social Services Department of the Care Agency, proved to be a great success in raising awareness of issues surrounding adoption and foster care in Gibraltar. Following the launch at a reception hosted by Samantha Sacramento, Minister for Social Services, social workers were available for “drop in” sessions at the John Mackintosh Hall throughout the week.
The GSD says that a “slip” at the last Development and Planning Commission meeting has led them to discover that the developers for the former site of the Risso Bakery have obtained funding from Credit Finance Company Limited.
