The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
On the morning of Monday 29th June 2015, a local man, Francis Mercieca of Constitution House, Glacis Estate, unemployed, was arrested by officers of the RGP Criminal Investigations Department on suspicion of Burglary at two local commercial premises.

A total of 382 students have so far applied for the University Students Summer Jobs Scheme with all these applications having been processed. This follows the commitment entered into by the GSLP/Liberal Government to extend the scheme to all eligible students who were interested in a placement thereby removing the cap that had existed previously.
