The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, today met with the Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Lord David Cameron, at the Foreign Office in London in order to discuss the outstanding issues and matters in the ongoing negotiation with the European Union in relation to Gibraltar.
The summer months traditionally see an increase in particular types of crime such as Residential Burglary and Theft (eg pick-pocketing, theft of bicycles, vehicle contents and personal property at beaches/pools). This phenomenon is not exclusive to Gibraltar.
The GSD has today challenged Government to publish in full any documents it claims to have received from HSL in relation to the use and storage of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Gibraltar. The party says it is “unacceptable” that in such an important debate the Government continues to provide only “isolated and unverifiable quotes” from documents it claims to have received but does not publish the document itself.
The Government believes the Lloyd’s Register report was based on false information provided by the Spark Group of Companies and the GSD, and that the Leader of the Opposition’s deception of the people of Gibraltarian is unprecedented.
