Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Gibraltar Cultural Services and the Gibraltar Electricity Authority (GEA), on behalf of the Ministry of Culture have announced the programme of events for this year’s Festival of Lights taking place next Friday 21st November at John Mackintosh Square.
French singer Francoise Atlan will celebrate Sephardic culture in poetry, words and song during a lovely music event included as part of the Gibunco Gibraltar Literary Festival that starts tomorrow. The artist will offer, on Sunday 16th November at 12:00 pm at The Convent a show called ‘Spirit of Granada’. She will perform traditional Sephardic works in the Jewish-Spanish and Jewish-Moroccan languages of Ladino, Judezmo and Haketia.
