Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
For the second year, an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness Day will take place on Saturday 20th September. The campaign will see Health care professionals and members of the Support group available to speak to the public on the disease, outside the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Crowned, as from 10am.
The Gibraltar FA will be holding an Anti-Doping seminar on the evenings of Wednesday the 24th and Thursday 25th of September, from 6pm to 8pm in the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre.
With the logistical support of Bland Group International, nearly 300 young partridges have been brought over from breeders in Morocco and are currently in quarantine in a specially prepared facility after which they will be released in various locations. A small group imported as eggs have already been released as a trial with every indication of success.
