Today marks the UN's International Day Against Drug Abuse, aimed at highlighting the issues surrounding drug abuse and raising awareness of the dangers. This year’s theme is ‘ A message of hope; drug use disorders are preventable and treatable’.
Royal Gibraltar Regiment Reservists have been supporting the annual Uniform to Work Day initiative by wearing their military uniform with pride as they set about their daily working routine.
The annual event demonstrates the strong contribution to the Armed Forces by military reservists and highlights the diversity of civilian employment, it also gives reservists the opportunity to show their employers how much they value their support.
Reacting to the Opposition’s recent statement on democratic reform, the Government today insisted that there has been more action made on the matter since the election of the GSLP/Liberals in 2011, ‘than there ever was under the previous administration, where the issue was raised shortly before the general election almost as an afterthought.’
