European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels earlier today.
During the visit of the Queen’s Baton, Gibraltar’s first Olympian Georgina Cassar signed the 33Fifty Baton Book for Gibraltar at the Convent. There she met the Governor, Patron of the Gibraltar Commonwealth Games Association, and spoke of the importance to Gibraltar of being part of the Commonwealth family.
The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo left today for a series of meetings in London during the course of this week, including meetings at the Ministry of Defence and at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
The annual open day of the Gibraltar Museum will be this Saturday, 17th May, from 10 am until 6 pm. The day is aimed to coincide as closely as possible with International Museums Day (the 18th) and this year’s theme is “Collections make Connections”.
