Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
Responding to the Government’s most recent statement on the GSD’s assessment of the ‘Failed Job Strategy’. The Party insisted that in Mr. Bossano’s ‘frenzied and personal attack against anyone who dares to criticise his policies’ he missed the point. The Opposition adds that there were publicly available apprenticeships offered by the previous GSD Government, despite Minister Bossano’s claim that there were none.
Gibraltar Finance will be participating and exhibiting at the British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) annual conference and exhibition at Manchester Central in central Manchester tomorrow and Thursday.
During the visit of the Queen’s Baton, Gibraltar’s first Olympian Georgina Cassar signed the 33Fifty Baton Book for Gibraltar at the Convent. There she met the Governor, Patron of the Gibraltar Commonwealth Games Association, and spoke of the importance to Gibraltar of being part of the Commonwealth family.
