Her Majesty's Government has been in negotiations with the union Unite in relation to restoring parity for nursing staff and nursing allied professionals who work in the Elderly Residential Services of the Care Agency (Mount Alvernia, the Jewish Home, John Cochrane Ward and Calpe Ward) with their counterparts in the GHA.
Over the weekend, the Chief Minister and Mrs Picardo left for London where they will attend an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace. This Reception is the main diplomatic social event of the year in London and reflects Her Majesty The Queen’s importance in the country’s diplomatic relations. It is the largest reception held at Buckingham Palace and takes place annually. Invitees include members of the British Cabinet, past Prime Ministers and other public figures.
