The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) investigation into the allegation that ‘whistle-blowers’ were incentivised to provide evidence to the McGrail Inquiry “has not uncovered any evidence that meets the threshold for criminal prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office.”
School Liaison Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police’s Neighbourhood Policing Unit recently held a mid-term camp for children aged 8 to 10. The twenty-one participating children were treated to a range of activities balanced between exposing them to police work and fun activities.
On Monday the 28th of October the children enjoyed negotiating an assault course, the next day they were treated to a visit of New Mole House Police Headquarters which included the Custody Suite, Control Room and Crime Scene Investigator’s Office where they were shown fingerprinting techniques.
Divisional Officer Anthony Yusifredo has been appointed as head of the Operations and Training at the City Fire Brigade on promotion as from the 4 November 2013.
Divisional Officer (DO) Anthony Yusifredo joined the City Fire Brigade as a Firefighter in April 1990 and was promoted to Leading Firefighter in May 2001, he has served with the Operations Department throughout his career and was the head of White Watch from January 2011.
Gibraltar has been given a ‘clean bill of health’ on a number of EU matters that were put to the European Commission recently. Gibraltar MEP Sir Graham Watson has told the Government that there are no infringement proceedings against the United Kingdom concerning the non-transposition of Directives on financial services in Gibraltar. The Commission added that there are no Directives on exchange of information or mutual assistance on tax matters outstanding for transposition in Gibraltar.
