Gibraltar’s representation at the Labour Party Conference continued yesterday evening with the Gibraltar Reception hosted by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and featuring a keynote speech by the UK Minister for Europe and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty MP.
On the advice of the Judicial Service Commission, His Excellency the Governor has today sworn in the Right Honourable Sir Mark Howard Potter as a new appointment as Justice of Appeal in accordance with section 57(2)(a) of the Constitution.

Officers of HM Customs challenged a group of men at the northern end of Eastern Beach on Thursday. Several large holdalls were seen to be taken from two Spanish registered cars on Eastern Beach Road and then two men ran towards the frontier fence at the northern end of the beach carrying the holdalls.
