Aug 19 - Vote for Your Favourite Local Performer for the Music Festival Line-Up
Organisers of this year’s Gibraltar Music Festival are giving the public an opportunity to vote for the local acts that they wish to see perform on the main stage.
GBC claims that the performers in the running include popular band Headwires, This Side Up, Metro Motel, Adrian Pisarello, Paragon, Surianne Dalmedo and Hollie Buhagiar. Three of these acts will be chosen to open for Emeli Sande, as well as other internationally renown acts.
Gibraltar’s current situation has been highlighted in a blog that aims to spread awareness of the situation in Catalonia, and their pursuit to freedom from the rest of Spain. The blog touches upon Gibraltar MEP and Chief Conservative Whip in Strasbourg Julie Girling’s summary of Gibraltar’s harassment by Spain, urging the UK Government to take action.
